Meanwhile, let's start with our most recent exotic holiday: a two-week tour of China with friends!

Not exactly a holiday, but between September 9 and October 16, Charlie drove us from Ohio to northern California, where we have a vacation home. Our main purpose for this 39 hour/5 day marathon out and 51 hour/6 day trip back was to initiate repairs, upgrades and remodels in that vacation home, called "Rainbow's End". These pictures show the scenery around Rainbow's End; we didn't take any photographs on the drives to and from since we were trying to spend as few days as possible on the road.

On April 18, 2005, we flew to Califronia to meet our friend from China, Peace Tao, who was visiting classmates in the Sacremento area. We picked her up on the 19th and drove to Yosemite for three days, and then back to our Sea Ranch house for 10 days more.
